Company Introduction
LLamasoft supply chain design software helps organizations worldwide design and improve their supply chain operations. LLamasoft solutions enable companies across a wide range of industries to model, optimize and simulate their supply chain network, leading to major improvements in cost, service, sustainability and risk mitigation.
Founded in 1998, LLamasoft is based in Ann
Arbor, Michigan. After the initial release of its flagship product Supply Chain
Guru in 2002, LLamasoft has grown exponentially. In 2007 it was the first
company to offer supply chain simulation technology and in 2008 became a leader
in the “green” supply chain movement by offering a fully integrated greenhouse
gas emission modeling feature. In 2012 LLamasoft launched its transportation
optimization tool, and numerous other product developments and innovations led
to its 2014 launch of SupplyChainGuru.com, the first cloud-based supply chain
design platform. In 2015 LLamasoft announced the acquisition of the IBM
LogicTools suite, as well as the Barloworld supply chain software division
which included the Cast and Optimiza network design and planning tools. In the
same year the company also received $50 million in funding from Goldman Sachs
for development and growth initiatives.
Today, LLamasoft continues to innovate with
an aggressive development roadmap and strong customer success initiatives,
enabling the design of thriving supply chains for many of the world’s largest
organizations.
